Yes, cooking utensils, dishes, condiments, and cookware you need for preparing meals are provided. There is a coffee cart with a microwave and Keurig.

Is there a washing machine, dryer, iron, ironing board, and hair dryer at The Eagle’s Rest?

Are there steps at the Eagle’s Rest?

There are no steps. Grab bars are in the bathtub, and a shower chair is available if needed.

Is there a television?

Yes, there is a television with limited channels. A DVD player and family-friendly DVDs are available.

Are there restaurants nearby?

Yes, Smithville has most of the typical fast food restaurants plus some local favorites. A list of restaurants will be sent to you.

Are there things to do in the area?

Yes, there are several state parks in the area that provided places to picnic, hike, and swim. Sligo Marina is a mile from the Eagle’s Rest. Nashville is an hour and 15 minute drive from the Eagle’s Rest. A list of things to do will be sent to you.

Is there a grocery nearby?

Yes, there is a Food Lion, Save-a-lot, Dollar General, and Walmart in Smithville.

Can I bring pets to The Eagle’s Rest?

Regretfully, we are not able to accept pets at The Eagle’s Rest. 

Can I bring children to The Eagle’s Rest?

Children are welcome at The Eagle’s Rest for a Spiritual Renewal Retreat with your family. Childrens’ games and toys are available for your entertainment. Since The Eagle’s Rest is located on the side of a hill without yard space, adult supervision is required at all times when children are outside.

How many can sleep at the Eagle’s Rest?

Each of the two bedrooms can be set up to be one king or two twin beds. The couch pulls out to make a queen size bed. Two twin air mattresses and a Pack’ N Play for an infant are available for use.

How much does it cost to stay at the Eagle’s Rest?

The Eagle’s Rest is provided free of charge but guests are asked to clean it up and leave it in the same condition as they found it for the next guests. Cleaning supplies are provided at the cabin. Another option is to pay $110 cleaning fee and we will arrange a cleaning crew to clean the cabin.
