Christmas Outreach
Christmas is an excellent time to reach out to people who need to be involved in church. We all know work associates, class mates, friends, relatives, and neighbors who need to know Jesus and get involved in church. Everyone enjoys Christmas music, so take advantage of our special Christmas Music Outreach on Monday, December 14. Invite those who are unchurched or even those who are on your Sunday School class rolls but never come to attend the Christmas Music Outreach. Refreshments will be served at 6:30 pm and the music will begin at 7:00 pm. The choir and orchestra will present some outstanding Christmas music that will proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Send Christmas Cards
Take advantage of the season and send Christmas cards to everyone on your Sunday School rolls. Get the cards ready to be mailed and the church will put the postage on the cards and mail them for you. Make this as a class project and get those in your class to help you write and address the cards. It can be a fun time of fellowship and outreach.
Have a Christmas Party
Everyone enjoys a party. Plan a Christmas party for your class members at someone’s home and enjoy a great time of fellowship. Make sure you invite everyone on the class rolls. Use this party as an outreach project, invite absentees and prospects. Celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ by reading the Christmas story at your party.
Plan a Christmas Mission Project
Christmas is an excellent time for your class to have a mission project to minister to someone in need. There are children in the copper basin area that will not have anything for Christmas unless someone helps. Your class can help by purchasing some gifts for these special children. Ron Moore can provide you with some “wish list” letters from the children. Gifts need to be at the Cumberland Baptist Association by December 14 so they can be taken to these children. Another mission project would be to fill some boxes with some goodies to be mailed to our military who are overseas fighting for our freedoms.
Every Member Visited
Several Sunday School classes have made a visit to everyone on their Sunday School rolls and turned in their reports. We will recognize those classes after the first of the year. There is still time for your class to make those visits to every member by the end of year. Complete the visitation reports and return them to Ron Moore by December 31.
